What Can Hypnotherapy Do?
We all know what we SHOULD be doing. At this point, it is not about knowing. It's about doing.
The simple fact is that at the end of the day our willpower is all used up. We find ourselves in front of the fridge, sandwich in hand, not knowing how we got there. I know. I've been there.
At one point I weighed 330 lbs. I am now 240 lbs and have maintained this weight for roughly a decade. I am pretty happy with where I am. I like the way my clothes fit. I feel better. My joints don't scream at me (more like a gentle nagging but I think that might be mostly age.) I go kayaking and ride comfortably on airplanes. My weight no longer holds me back from doing the things I want to do.
Hypnosis is NOT a magic pill. Losing weight and keeping it off takes work, change, and commitment. However, hypnotherapy for weight loss works. It gives us the edge we need, the push to follow through on the changes we desire.
Hypnosis does, however, allow that change to happen by reprogramming existing habits and inserting that vital pause before we eat to think about our choice. Are we even hungry or is there something else going on? Is this a good choice? How about the portion size?
Hypnosis allows us that space to breathe for just a moment and rationally assess what we are doing. It allows us the opportunity to make choices instead of reacting out of a default behavior.
